Kukishinden Ryu Sojutsu (Art of the YARI- Japanese Spear) wazas from the Densho (scrolls) are taught step by step. Each waza is even demonstrated in with full battle armor so you can fully understand the dynamics of the spear's striking, cutting and thrusting power. The yari is a unique weapon in itself. Shihan Van Donk trained in the U.S., Europe and Japan with Hatsumi Soke doing Yarijutsu and even he was excited to get the information recorded on this video. In total 28 Kukishinden wazas are taught.

  • Maybe it's just me, but what I see here seems to be martial arts theatrics that aren't even that well choreographed.
