This ident use to have a VERY good audio track attached until it had been disabled ~ did WMG make the request? Why anyone would do that is beyond me? Bob Jones was getting free advertising. It's just plain stupid. And if the Warner Media Group is responsible, then doubly so.

COOL MUSIC! It kinda soothes the soul.

The music is very europhic and trancy...puts me in mind of Boards of Canada

If I am to understand, this music piece was taken from Bob Jame's "Right as Rain?" Was this the original music used for the ident? Also, I know that the duo Royksopp from Norway, was influenced by this music piece for their song "Eple."

I'd love to see a few of those old bumper movies TVO used to play between shows like Sesame Street and The Polka Dot Door.

@SourApplez1211 hahaha love it

This is a fantastic ident, thank you for sharing! Shame the original music had to be removed. Would there be any way to replace it with something more similar, or time appropriate? The beat at the end kind of detracts from the 1982 feel of it (at least for me).

"Welcome to the Mardi Gras" has an opening beat that was prominently sampled. DJ Jazzy Jeff had a good go of it. Also, there is a lick in the middle of the track for 4 beats, where the piano intros before the drums kick back in.
I feel SO euphoric watching this and other programmes from this channel and era.

It is very scary.

Since the original audio has been disabled, I'm curious: what's the name of the current song clip being used on this video? it sounds really cool

Why were the logo interstitials for BBC and TVO so frightening?
-
Coincidentally, TVO's logo is similar in look to the old Warner Communications logo that WMG now uses.
Yes, it is Bob James' "Right as Rain"

Royksopp sampled it in their hit single "Epple"
