    My grandad was there that day, he's always said this was one of the greatest games he ever saw due to the atmosphere. Apparently the Leeds fans were singing this with the Liverpool fans.

    I am a supporter of the Grêmio, Brazilian club.

    But how lovely to hear the Liverpool fans singing this song. As much as Liverpool is red, I always had sympathy for this club.

    Can we please put this to bed once and for all - I'm a United fan and I first heard this sung on the 23rd November 1963 at Old Trafford - By Liverpool - How can I be so sure? - the day after Kennedy was shot, the match Harry Gregg broke his collarbone and two weeks after Gerry released the single - Yeats scored for Liverpool - Celtic pinched it when they met Liverpool two years later in Europe --- it's a scouse song - end of
