What did you use to record your screen at such a high rate with all the effects going on every screen recorder i use seems to mess with the effects or go at a really slow framerate

may i ask something... i already apply my compizconfig manager..and enable those 'eyecandy' setttings like wobbly windows and 3d cube and else...but then i cant see any special effect..is it my driver or must i select the setting at the change background menu....note that i have ati card> hd3650 pcie

I have not had any experience with Linux, but I have used Unix and AIX. In order to expand my horizons, I ordered a Linux laptop from Computer Geeks. It has Ubuntu 8.04 on it. Is it a major ordeal to upgrade to 8.10? BTW, I see these Linux demo videos, but they hardly ever say what sort of hardware they are running on. What kind of processor, etc., is this demo running on?
