  • Mr Kim defied death 5 times:

    * got arrested by North Koreans and escaped the day before death sentence

    * almost got killed by a truck (he became crippled as a result)

    * got kidnapped by KCIA

    * received a death sentence by Korean military dictator Jun Doo Hwan

    He risked his life so that Korea could become a democratic country. He said that often, he trembled with fear thinking about death in the prison, but he knew that justice will win and that history will side with him

  • Kim Dae Jung overcomed the financial crisis in Korea in 3 years. Experts said that it would take at least 10 years for the Korean economy to recover at that time. Kim Dae Jung also promoted the Korean Wave (exporting Korean dramas, movies, songs to other nations) so that Korea can bring in more dollars

  • This is bullshit.

    Kim Jong iL deserved the No Bullshit Peace Price more than Kim Duh! Choong.

  • Awarding the No-Bull Peace Price to Kim Duh! Choong was a travesty which cheapened the Nobel accolades. The No-Bull award should be revoked. In essence, Kim bought the No-Bull Price by showering Kim Jong iL with hundreds of millions, even billions, of dollars ( which is now well-documented ) for a summit meeting which turned out to be entirely meaningless. The money sent to North Korea and other economic measures helps perpetuate the brutal and inhumane regime.

  • wow. a great man to put it in few words.
