Fallout 3 Trick: Infinite XP After Patches *NEW*

READ THIS.

Works after all patches and plugins, as of April 14, 2009.. Go buy or find some frag mines, and equip them, and drop one just around the corner from the mercenary guarding Moira's Craterside Supply in Megaton. The proximity of the mercenary will trigger the mine's alarm, so quickly disarm it for an easy 5XP. Simply throw out another one (or the same one) and disarm it again for 5XP more. Repeat as desired.

~~ QUESTIONS FREQUENTLY POSED ~~

[ Q ] ~ Will setting the difficulty to Very Hard give me higher experience?
[ A ] ~ Nope. That trick only works for fighting.. not lockpicks, mine disarms, computer hacks, etc. If you don't know the trick for fighting, play the game on your regular, preferred setting, but just before you make the final shot to kill an enemy, pause and change the difficulty to Very Hard and go back and make the final shot. You'll get the higher experience points as if you had just fought the enemy the entire time on Very Hard. Afterward, just set the difficulty back to whatever you like.

wouldn't you be able to get more xp based on the difficulty ???

or would it just stay the same no matter what .....

say if you put it on very hard would the xp go up to 20 xp or would it stay at 5xp ?

@TheBansic - One of Moira's missions takes you to an abandoned town (the one with the lone sniper guy) that has loads of them all over the place, for free =P

just a few mins ago i sold a mine in my hand and i was holding nothing and i could create infinite mines and i made about 500 and i was rich :D

i tried this and i done it for soo long almost got to lvl 20 then billy creel walked past and blew it up instintly i died and went back to lvl 13 =(

and for anyone who has the perk grim reapers sprint a good way to level up is to go to everglow campground kill the enemies go to your house wait a few i think 72 hours and go back the all spwn and if you have broken steel take the super mutant blood samples and give them to paladin tristan

this is useful but only for low levels this glitch does work but can you find one that is for higher levels like me im level 21
