Enjoyed your video. I have spent 55 years in the telephone business. The Motorola Cell Phone that you refer to as the "brick" phone was the first hand-held analog cellular phone in commercial production. It was developed between 1969 and 1973. It was a joint venture between Motorola and AT&T (Bell Labs) The FCC would only license the analog cell phone as "Experimental" I made my first call on the "brick" in Chicago, IL in 1974. It took 10 years for the FCC to license the first system.

Fun video man, I'm older than you and so far I knew all the answers (even the "brick"). The monopoly was Southwestern Bell and phones were a stylish black. Wouldn't bet a lot on that though.

LOL! I hear ya! My earliest one that I remember was tan. I wasn't aware of the black until a few people posted on the Facebook page. I agree on the Southwestern Bell. I had a few different answers on that too!
