I don't understand the use of a pcv valve, unless it could create a negative pressure in the base of the engine, if so then it would pull on the piston while the explosion pushes on the other side. Is that the case?

That other scooter looked like a Honda, maybe a Metropolitan or Elite 80.

i got an 08 vino, and it gets like 70mpg if i gun it at lights and run full throttle all the time, but like 85 or 90 if i toned that down.

This is the same bike as the 65 mph modified vino. which eventually died due to transmission failure from heat. There is a limit to modifying the Vino and surpassing the cooling design, This is why you find the larger capacity engines all having water cooling (250 and up). An air cooled, encased design will not cool sufficiently as the RPM and engine bore are increased. There is a stopping point with air cooled modifications to the Vino.

@bobbykhawk I think if I had drilled a ton of holes in the transmission case then it would have held up better. Oh well. Live and learn.

I'm doing 0-40 in 6 seconds now. I'm about to tune my carb and throw on an open air intake system tonight.
