  • you can use something called leopardassist

  • @TommyA1912 Doesn't really help you on a 7500 though.. There are driver problems to deal with too..

  • You have a Palm Z22 don't you?

  • Yes, I do, but my iPod Touch has taken over.

  • WOW!! That thing can support 1GB of RAM, then you can run Leopard on it!!! Do it!!!

  • No leopard. A few problems

    1. Mac rom can't boot anything other than classic mac ps without a helper.

    2. XPostFacto, a helper, only supports up to tiger.

    3. The system bus remains 50mhz.

  • So you took off the disney thing?

  • oh yeah actually I used it on my iMac G4, so maybe it is different on a 7500.

Leopard also requires considerable fiddling in the Open Firmware to make it work. It's just too much trouble then you get a performance hit and give up the ability to run classic Mac OS software.Tiger can even be heavy on these machines. Panther or Jaguar is a better bet for speed under OS X, though you give up some later OS X software compatibility.

  • @planefreak3

The absolute most anyone has ever o/c'ed the bus on these to is 55mhz and that doesn't even run stable on most of these machines. It all depends on the quality of the parts on the motherboard how far it can be overclocked. Many can't be overclocked at all. This isn't like a Gigabyte or Asus motherboard where you can change the clocks and voltages from BIOS.

  • @dmcintyre90

Leopard requires too much hacking in the firmware to get it to run on these and Leopard runs slower than Tiger and does not have classic mode. The 7500 was never meant to run OS X so anyone who has one probably a lot of pre OS X software that they won't be able to use under Leopard.

  • overclock the bus

  • OwlMovieStudios, The Hardware Is Too Old To Run Vista.

  • You Should Take The CD Drive Out And Put A DVD Drive So It Can Run Leopard.
