Pop17.com goes to Rocketspace to sit down and talk to Joe Monastiero, President of Luedi. We got to ask him some interesting questions. Check it out!
Who they are:
Ludei is based in San Francisco (CA, USA) and Bilbao (Basque Country, Spain). Ludei has created successful native mobile games such as iBasket and, recently, Slide Soccer. More than 15 million people from 100+ countries have downloaded a game by Ludei. Now the company is focused on giving developers the best cross platform technology among the web, mobile and tablet.
Ludei, a San Francisco company with a team in Spain, has developed a new component for the Ludei Platform, the Ludei Cloud Compiler, that allows companies to take any HTML5 app and con- vert it within minutes into a hybrid native app. Ludei essentially does the heavy lifting of converting the software into something that runs fast, said Joe Monastiero, president of Ludei, in an interview with GamesBeat.
The Ludei Cloud Compiler is in public beta testing as a free service and will convert apps into iOS or Google Play apps. The Cloud Compiler includes support for any HTML5 web app, not just games. Ludei plans to roll out other cloud services between now and the end of the year that use the Ludei cloud to simplify the process of delivering and monetizing HTML5 programs.
What they do:
Ludei provides the easiest and fastest way to deliver your games to multiple platforms from a single codebase. More stores, more devices, more eyeballs, less cost. You write the code, we do the rest.
Allows you to:
Accelerate your canvas performance by up to 1,000%
Monetize your game using ads and In-App purchases
Deploy to the App Store and Google Play with no code changes
How it works:
1 DEVELOP IT
Deploy your HTML5 game. Use our top rated CAAT game framework to get started. Or roll your own.
2 ACCELERATE IT
Use CocoonJS and our HTML5 Enhancement and Extension APIs to make it run like a native app.
3 MONETIZE IT
4 WRAP IT
Use our Cloud Compiler to turn your HTML5 effort into a ready-to-roll native "Hybrid" app.
5 DISTRIBUTE IT
Distribute and monetize in most important mobile stores.
In July 2012 Ludei launched its own game engine for quickly making mobile games.
By October 2012 there were 18,689,156 TOTAL GAMES DOWNLOADED
