Mansfield Park: Edmund & Fanny - "All My Life"

This song was played at a wedding I attended recently and it immediately reminded me of Edmund & Fanny from Mansfield Park. You'll understand why at the very beginning of the video :) I started with my favorite scene from the movie and ended it with my 3 favorite lines from the movie :) This is my 1st MP mv and hope that you will enjoy it. I have yet to fully grasp/accept Billie Piper as the new Fanny. So for now, I have refrained myself from buying that particular dvd -- LOL! Sorry, but PBS will need to air the UNCUT version like 10x to win me over or until I get weak from refraining.

NOTE: I love that Fanny has ink smeared on her fingers at Clip 0:51 - 0:59 . It shows that she was totally absorbing Edmund's words and not paying attention to her writing. I would most likely have done the same -- LOL!

Sepia Tone: This is used for all scenes prior to Fanny meeting Edmund. When she finally meets him, her world lights up. Thus, switch from sepia to color.

I love this adaption of Mansfield Park as well, I think Frances O'Connor is the real "Fanny Price". And I also like the song, its just perfect for them.

Excellent video. I absolutely loved the way you opened and closed with my favourite scenes: the profession of love and the carriage scene. Super! I agree with your opinion about Billie Piper. Brilliant actress she may be but she wasn't cut out for the part of Fanny. She was simply far too boyish and good grief her hair.

thank you! LOL on the hair but i understand bc it wasn't very austen-like. i don't think billie will look good with a bun. well, i know that a lot of people didn't like RPJ as Cpt. Wentworth in Persuasion especially since he had blonde hair. but i loved him as Cpt. Wentworth :)

Athena, that was so incredibly beautiful *swoon*! I haven't seen this version of MP but it looks sweet. I don't know why but I did like Billie as Fanny but I think that's because I'm a Who fan.hehe. Any way this was wonderful HUGE 5*'s and faves!!

thanks rhi! i try to watch Doctor Who as much as I can and i think that's why i can't see billie as fanny. she just didn't seem vulnerable enough BUT i know that my opinion of that will change :) also, the fact that i've seen this version 1st makes me compare any MP adaptation that i will see (whether old or new). hope u r well!
