We are an active dynamic school, where the children are involved in lots of creatively inspired projects. This 'One Small Planet' film features the whole school singing our school song, and shows you where exactly in the whole wide world we are. As we are very near Wimbledon, where they play the tennis, we have thousands of people getting off the tube station at Southfields, just up the road from us. On a quiet day, when the air is still, you can hear the sound of the clapping crowds.

Nice to hear from you George... I will find out the information and get back to you! I know that at one point Riversdale was over the road - where Southfields Community College now is. It would be interesting to have a history of our school on our main school website - will look into it!

Does anybody know why this school had its name changed from Merton Road School to Riversdale? Riversdale School was, when I went there behind the Old Elliott. Was it just too keep the name alive? Any help would be appreciated both for me and to other Riversdale pupils.
