The mainly white one came to stay first and Mark would be hanging washing out or be feeding guinea pigs and the pigeon wasn't worried at all.
The next day I felt well enough to go and sit outside and I put some chick crumbs down and out of nowhere came the mainly grey one.
They are lovely. I managed to pick up the grey one as I saw blue marks on it's flight feathers which were the owners telephone number stamped on there (Brill idea). I gave him a ring to say where his bird was and it should have headed back to Bridlington.
They've been lurking a few days and roosting here but tonight at dusk they were nowhere to be seen. I just hope they make it home safely. I've no idea where the white one should be but I expect they have suddenly got their bearings and gone.
I'm quite sad really. I love pigeons after having Penny as a girl then a couple when I was with Adam. I kind of hoped they'd hang around forever. They're so pretty with the purple and green metallic tinge to their feathers and such lovely eyes.
I hope they're waiting for me in the morning ;-)
Nice looking birds, hopefully they returned to their owners,Well done for caring 5*****

They've both left us now, the dark grey 1 was the last to leave and it had a Bridlington telephone number stamped on it's flight feathers. I did ring the chap to let him know it was here. I just hope the owners don't wring their necks as they're unreliable. People have been telling me that's what happens. I'd quite like to have a few pigeons but wouldn't really know where to start. I loved those though and I always seem to attract them.
