Team Fortress 2 Machinima - Show down

This was a machinima experiment for a university project by Ilona and me.

We captured the footage within Team Fortress 2 as demos. Then I smoothed it and tried my best to get good camera angles. bGod it was hard.. trying to pinpoint exactly where the characters/actors would be.. then get the camera to move with them! haha! Then I edited it in Sony Vegas 8.

heeey. i was checking the 'recently played with' list in tf2 and came across your youtube via the links.

i enjoyed watching this video, great job with all the editng and timing of character movements. (altho i did get some dizzy with some camera angles @_@, but i guess it wasn't an easy thing to do)

entertaining and fun nevertheless! 5 stars!

Hey thanks dude!! I never saw this comment until just now! :( My bad sorry!!

Yeah I also badly edited some parts because with the camera angles, when I did it in the tf2 demo smoothing, it went through the ground (with the scouts) and through the wall (with the spy going in to kill the medic). But with smoothing you have to second guess a lot.. which is bad in that even if you are seeing the places where they should be, when you render it, you find out after you were a bit off lol

@DaHSahmuurai oh and many thanks for the 5 stars! I would like to do more again... but atm I am lazy. Maybe I shall have a go at face poser and do some voice dubbing, that way I don't need people to play the characters :D Just put bots in and animate their mouths! :D Some day damn it! XD

Thanks lOKlbman! I haven't done anything in a year since I've left uni... but if I feel like labouring away (my friends were soo awful trying to get them to move and do as I asked. They lovingly kept messing about and purposefully stuffing up to annoy and anger me... ^_^
