The clip with the german shepherd almost brought tears to my eyes. They are not taking good care of him and he looks exactly like my dog who we recently put down in May... I miss him. :(

Way to go Tammy & Dawn!! It was hard for me to just watch this video--I couldn't imagine seeing all this and more in person. Thank goodness for you two!!! Is this going to be an annual event? :)

How do these people sleep at night? Every one of those dogs are starving for attention and love.

I KNOW, not just that, but the SPCA went over every inch of my yard BEFORE allowing me to adopt BOSCO, our animal control would've done the same thing. I hope these folks aren't getting these animals from shelters. Otherwise the facilities are not doing their jobs.

They are not all doing their job! Our neighbors were warned and ticketed by the humane society for not getting vet care for their very ill chained dog, who was put down when they finally got him treatment (it was too late) Six months later, the people adopted a pup from a shelter in the same county they were ticketed in. Great, huh? And guess who spends alot of time out back on the chain? Not 24/7 like the dog that died, but its only a matter of time before he is consigned to the same fate

That's outrageous!!! Do the agencies NOT talk to one another? Luckily our agencies do talk. Our animal control, if they have a dog they know is adoptable, they move it over to the SPCA if it's on the list to be put down. They work well together.

I think due to the sheer numbers of complaints and the overcrowding at the shelters, some just want to get the dogs adopted out and they don't check on people like they should. It really is a shame. And I wonder, have things gotten worse or have they always been this bad and I just wasn't paying attention because it depressed me too much? It still depresses me, but now that I am more involved I feel somewhat better to be doing something, no matter how small.

Love the turtle clip, I can't tell you how many times I almost got hit by a car myself saving terrapins from the road when I lived near the oceans...you guys are doing a great job, it makes me sad to see this, but it has to be seen - and I had no doubt you would have tons of footage!

You are welcome to sleep on my floor when you do a NJ trip!

atually, I can't believe I offered nothing but my floor - let me rephrase that - you all can sleep in my bed (as long as you don't mind sharing it with the animals) and I will sleep on the floor!
