I feel so sad for those workers, having researched North Korea further and studied it in class, I'm pretty sure those poor workers will "disappear" :(

"Here isn't anything to like." The most frank, and chilling quote I've heard from the VBS travels. All those countless hours of train ride in forest, bureaucratic bull, and vodka drinking to get a hint of truth out of an unreasonably persecuted laborer. If it's a silver lining, it's encouraging that the juche propaganda and mind conditioning didn't get in his head.... hopefully.
