TVR Tamora losing it

I hired one for a week. More like a mafia hitman than a bear. It won't try to kill you at random like a bear would, TVRs only try to kill you if you disrespect them. If you treat them with respect mixed with a little righteous fear, they're perfectly safe.

Typical TVRs, spinning around wildly for no apparent reason while backfiring like a maniac. Fucking awesome.

@spaztikcamel Do you honestly think a formula 1 car accelerates to 100 kph in 3-4 seconds? So it could be beaten by a Porsche Turbo with leather interior, airbags, road tires and so on? Well, here are the facts: 0-62 mph (~100kph): 1.7 seconds. 0kph-160kph-0kph in less than 5 seconds. There is a huge difference, TVR's and formula's one cars aren't comparable in any way...

I bet that Chimaera behind it got scared
-
to be honest the first two i owned i had as hand me downs off my dad a m reg griff and a p reg chimera, and when i sold them on i bought a tamora but did not like it so had it a week and swapped it for a tuscan, had that for about 18 months then traded it in for a vx220 turbo which i still have but ain`t drove it since i had it as my partner uses it all the time, hence the supermoto.

"all im saying is that if you are going to do a power slide, then you should be able to control it"
fair enough and agreed. it never looks good when you lose it.
never riden a roadbike myself but have ridden dirt bikes in the past (never pushed them hard enough to get seriously hurt)
btw very jealous you owned 3 tvr's infact im jealous you owned 1.

i agree..all im saying is that if you are going to do a power slide, then you should be able to control it,, if you can`t control it, they don`t attempt it. i was able to power slide around roundabouts and long swepping bends,,,but yes i got caught out a few times on damp roads or oil/diesel spills as the same on my honda 650 supermoto, good fun but it hurts like hell if you fall off.

losing licence could be from speeding not necessarily putting your foot down in tricky situations.
the acceleration of a formula 1 and a tvr arent too greatly different. with tvr being 5-4 second to 100kph and the formula 1 being 4-3 (i realise that is 25%)
a formula 1 driver is extremely skilled.
tbh never lost control you never pushed them hard.
i understand driving within your ability is also part of skill but exceeding it is how you become more skilled.
-
sadly for me i did push them to hard, and lost my licence twice, and f1 driver always spin out, there is a big difference between f1 an tvr..and thats about 600bhp more
-
as a matter of fact i have owned three trevors, over the last 15yrs and at mo i have a vx220 turbo
-
you obviously dont push them very hard.
take one to the track you'll spin if your trying for your fastest times.
even the f1 drivers spin out from time to time so i dont think its about skill too much now.
