HE was a Air force.. turning into guerillas
and... he was saw in the picture of death march... Im very proud to him...
Because.. he succesful escaping the death march...
He was shot in the back.. when he was very very tursty... he trown in the river... but he not a critical.. shot.. thats why he escape the death march :)

my realative was killed on the island o f corregidor and his brother was on the death march camp o'donnell then to muk den manchuria in a slave camp

my grandfather was a guerilla in clark pampanga. maybe he was part of the men who helped you when you where shot down. that would be an honer for me to see and hear you talking about the war.

Thank you for your kind comment. Sadly, Lt. Col. Methven, Jr. passed away this year, but he certainly held the Filipino guerillas in high regard for saving his life. Your grandfather was surely a brave man for resisting the Japanese as capture meant certain death.

Lt. Col. Methven was stationed on the Fifth Air Force Base on Tanauan, Leyte. The exact area where he was shot down is not known.
