Today, the House will consider the Credit Cardholders Bill of Rights Act, H.R. 627, which was introduced by Rep. Carolyn Maloney (D-NY). This legislation would level the playing field between card issuers and cardholders by applying common-sense regulations that would ban retroactive interest rate hikes on existing balances, double-cycle billing, and due-date gimmicks. It would also increase the advance notice of impending rate hikes, giving cardholders the information they need and rights to make decisions about their financial lives.

  • These law maker douche bags are who created the laws allowing the credit card companies and banks to screw their customers with reckless abandon. Now, here they are playing the blame game and trying to distract everyone from their key role in the affair. Pure scum.

  • He's not helping the cause.
