Murdering everyone who is not a member of your religion, they're whole family, friends and city and raping their women? Forcing rape victims to marry their rapist? The whole thing comes down to the fact that the sexual abstinence can be dangerous for men. After all, the expression "jerks"or "wankers" has some special meaning for some men.

The funny thing about the religious brigade is: how they promote slavery, belittling and controlling women, rape and violence and bigotry, but want to take a "moral" stand on anything, much less prostitution. Which is the oldest and longest running occupation, even before the "jesus" thing happened. Funny how they turn their feelings around once they think their god dropped his son in their laps to baby sit them.

@PenelopeBaden It's a matter of individual standards, Penelope. Or what you're looking for/get out of sex. For some it's exciting. For me, it's boring with someone uninteresting, and to me hookers are uninteresting. Why pay for something boring? But do I care if anyone else voluntarily does it? Nah.

@Cowcharge Obviously that's not the case, since plenty of people continue to go sex workers. Somehow, I don't think it's because all those people are unfamiliar with the concept of masturbation. Are you honestly saying that you don't get anything out of sex with another person that you can't get from jacking off alone? Is your sex life really that dull?
