Three members of the Pittsburgh Grotto had an excursion through the Bone-Norman Cave System. This is a little video that I made of our trip.

  • I believe that nothing at that point really moved across the screen, that was just a slide transition. Must have been an optical illusion.

  • P.S. Some yahoos damaged formations in the cave (not that far into the Norman entrance) just a year or two ago....not saying that you would do that...however it would make me feel guilty to the extreme by giving out this information to somebody that I don't even know. I hope you understand that I am just not withholding info just to be a d**k.

  • The individual that led this trip has a map, but he hasn't even let me have a copy of it. Although...I never asked. Due to the sensitive nature of caves most cavers are more than a little hesitant about freely giving out locations and maps of caves. However it is such a popular system that you can probably find out some details if you search hard enough. That is about as much that I can say about that.

  • That is a really Great video! I haven't been there in 13 years or more. Did you guys ever go to Rahobeth Church Cave? Dry caves are cool but I really enjoy the wet caves with the water running in them. There was just to much dust in Bone Cave for me.

  • I've never been to Rahobeth Church Cave, and you can blow through Bone very quickly to get to the pinch. Although, S.O.B. Alley can take a bit of time and it was still a dusty and lives up to the name.

  • What moved across the screen at 3:08

  • please give me some information on this cave system!! my guy i rock climb with has done it and has told me some directions on getting there, but a map would be ideal. especially a map of the system itself. i really wanna get a group of 6 or more together for a fall/winter trip.

  • ive been on this trip so many times i would have to say it is one of my favorite caves systems

  • We are going to this cave in less than a month! I am excited, especially to see the waterfall. Great video :) Thanks for posting.

  • The crawl lasts awhile, the pinch some folks claim is only somewhere between 7-8 inches high...depending on who is measuring.
