Anthony Rapp, who originated the role of Mark in "RENT" in the premiere New York production and went on to play it on Broadway, in the 2005 film and in the 2009 national tour, attended the July 24, 2010 performance of the show at Theatre Cedar Rapids, one of the first community theatres in the country to produce it. In addition to giving a post-show talkback, Mr. Rapp sat down for a short chat with TCR Community Relations Director Rob Merritt to share Rapp's thoughts on the show, on TCR's recovery from the flood, his feelings about "RENT" finally closing on Broadway after 12 years, and on the importance of community theatres both in Iowa and nationwide. Interview by Rob Merritt; camera by Jason Spina.
