Marx M10000 Clockwork, Brown Yellow

This is a Marx Union Pacific M10000. This clockwork version in brown and yellow is from 1936. Nice runner for 76 years old. The part I find interesting is the speed control governor is mounted inside one of the drive wheels. Later Marx clockworks had it as part of the motor gearing.

Thanks all for the nice comments. The litho on this one is very nice. What does not show are some bends in the metal. I have smoothed them out and they do not show much till you get close. Subtle, but they are there. Makes it a perfect runner. Looks good, but no worries if It goes off the track and gets a scratch or two.

Nice looking train. I understand English Marx trains had the keys on the opposite side so they wouldn't hit on double track.
