This is photos and clips of our hike in the White Mountains of New Hampshire in July 2007. We hiked up to Mizpah Springs Hut, across Mount Pierce and Monroe to Lakes of the Clouds Hut, and climbed the summit of Mount Washington before we were forced to stop because of bad weather. It was a beautiful and memorable hike.

On a clear day, you can see all the way to New York city from the summit of Mount Washington.
You can follow the coast all the way!

The White Mountains are simply said "beautiful".
I think this is a wonderful video to express it.

It's really a great area. We hiked from near Greenlake (I think) hut across to Mizpah last year. It took about a week. I love the signs there that say "this area experiences the worst weather on earth.

Lovely - you were blessed to have clear skies from Mizpah to Lakes to Washington - how spectacular!

Yes - but the next day we experienced how fast the weather can change when we were socked in with fog on Mount Washington (wind and freezing rain too) and were unable to cross the summit to head to Madison Hut to finish our hike. It still was an amazing and magical hike!
