Phat Beets / Healthy Hearts Teen Summer Internship

This summer, Phat Beets Produce ran an eight week internship in our community garden for teenagers from the Healthy Hearts Clinic at Children's Hospital, a weight management clinic for children. Teen interns learned about gardening and nutrition. They were also trained to be youth leaders capable of teaching about food systems and ecologic justice with a longer-term goal to expand the internship program to have peer-to-peer education in nutrition, food justice, and gardening. This video documents the issues and topics covered in the internship and the interns' personal growth and learning through the program.
