This was an idea I had but never a good enough camera to pull off so thought I'd have a stab with my little Samsung S760 and Windows Movie Maker.

First (and last) attempt unfortunately.

Music is Working on it by Mark Knopfler from the soundtrack to the 1997 film Wag the Dog.

  • How much of LGW's traffic is made up of scheduled services now?? looks like a charter airlines airport more and more based on the tail fins......I know a lot of airlines have moved to heathrow in recent years with the sanctions being lifted and that......

  • @garyj79 With easyJet and BA being Gatwicks largest airlines now, and with Flybe, Ryanair and Norwegian Air Shuttle having so many flights I would say scheduled has probably overtaken charter but don't quote me on it. Thomas Cook and Monarch still have a lot of flights and use larger aircraft, so in terms of passenger figures that may even it up. Plus you can buy 'scheduled tickets' on many charter airlines now as the travel industry evolves. Challenging industry, aviation!

  • Pretty good!
