2010 Ozone 2010 Kites - prototypes in action

The Backstory -
Rob Whittall (Ozone designer) and Torrin Bright headed to Fiji for 4 weeks of dedicated testing for the 2010 Ozone water kite range.

The destination -
Nananu-I-Ra, an island situated at the northern tip of Viti Levu, just a short boat trip from the main island. The main kiting beach on Nananu-I-Ra faces ESE which is perfect for the common SE trade winds during winter.

Over the 4 weeks they had 20+ rideable days, not as much as they were hoping for, but it was still enough for some good days testing with the 2010 Ozone prototypes.

They had winds ranging from 8 knots on the light days to 35 knot gusts on the strong days which allowed them to ride and test all the sizes and styles of kites.
