Unquestionably, my heart goes out to this lovely lady & artist R.I.P. Florence Ballard.

I know each member of the Supremes have their regrets and wish they could make things right. it just shows we all have our human faults as well as our good traits. We think if I get rich and famous then all will be well or if I have this career or that relationship...but that is the illusion i.e. looking at what's outside instead of developing the inner life and understanding the true Self.

She seems to have become content on having a regular life and all the people around her excepted big returns....

@erdnre - Well said - The legacy of music that The original Supremes left us is unmatched by any girl group to this day. As you have stated, let's be ".....proud of thier achievements". Thank you for reminding us that despite the horror of what happened to Ms. Ballard - she is STILL a star and a major part of music and Rock and Roll history,

Flo says that just like brothers and sisters, they had thier spats; nothing more. Mary wrote books singling Diana as a conspiritor against them, but does not speak of her own faults, and all parties say that Diana and Berry's relationship was secondary to thier careers aspirations. Yet people still call names and place blame. Everyone will be accountable for thier actions, so folks, lets remember the beautiful music and legacy left by these three women, and be proud of thier achievements.

Shame on all of the Motown bigwigs for allowing this to happen to Flo. Didn't they realize this would cast such a bad feeling on the groups history? God don't like ugly.

It is so clear in listening to Miss Ballard in this interview - That what Tony Turner wrote about in ALL THAT GLITTERED MY LIFE WITH THE SUPREMES - on the subject of The Supremes and the legendary Flo Ballard appears to be gospel - as this interview was recorded years ago - but released about 20 years AFTER the Tony Turner All That Glitters book. Flo Ballard remains somewhat a mystery but is still loved and not forgotten.

I think that to succeed in a business like the one Florence had to deal with took lots of greed. Like in everything the strongest wins. Diana Ross used what she had to stay on top and Berry took talented ppl and drain all the talent he could and make money. The ones able to be stronger and smarter then Berry were able to walk out of Motown and become successful. But their were other like Florence that were used abused and trashed as soon as Berry knew he wouldn't get he's way.

beautiful in their own rights but flo had so much more beauty and a better body than diana. she wouldve been good as lead. her voice had so much more soul and power. wish she hadnt let berry's selfishness and diana's carelessness get to her. she couldve been so much more.
