In this video tip, Bonnie Gross, president of SpeechScience International, talks about how to project your voice without hurting your vocal cords. To do this, make sure to always breathe out when you're speaking, push air from the diaphragm, which is just below the ribs, and visualize your voice prjecting from your chest, instead of from your throat..

  • Another example was when I sat down on the seat and at first this pretty girl was standing up. Then when she heard me speak, she came right next to me and sat down as if she felt SAFE.

  • I've ALWAYS felt my voice vibrating in my chest as a use my belly button to breath out. Other people around me would notice because it wasn't like I was shouting at the top of my lungs.

  • First of all, this is vague...Secondly one should feel resonance in the head as well...

  • a very helpful tip. Thanks a lot and keep up the good work.
