Recently, a dramatic growth in the transition to a mobile workforce has been recognized worldwide, especially in the United States. The International Data Corporation (IDC), a research firm based out of Massachusetts, believes 75% of the U.S. workforce will be mobile by 2013. The firm estimates that by the end of 2010, 13 million U.S. households will include mobile, home-based workers, many of them telecommuters.
