A replication is tried and the principle is tested of the so-called GMD, the gravito-magnetic device or free energy generator. Hamel said he was inspired by aliens, he even tried to build a flying saucer with it. It was refuted as being a viable option by the Myth busters team. But since no material of that effort could be found on the net, we tried our own replication....
The design is described in an artice of mr. Pierre Sinclair, an associate of Hamel.

  • When you show how the principle works at the beginning, was it spinning because of gravity?

  • @justanuthrfobfan Yes the spinning occurs when gravity pulls away the tilted spinner, you have to follow it constantly. Fixing the top magnet ends the spin. Hamels machine cannot work. Not spinning not vibrating.

  • how do the two ring magnets in the first part of the video create spin? Is any movement required of the large magnet? If not isn't that perpetual motion of itself?

  • @kdmoovz No it requires movement of the hand, in fact the magnet runs away from it and the hand has to follow.

  • Thumbs up if you're a physicist laughing at this ! ahahhaha

  • @TheAllboutwin We have a saying in Holland: he who laughs the last laughs the best....

  • mythbusters were wrong because the hamel generator they tried was not for lvitation and thats what they were testing for

  • thumbs up if this will never fly or levitate

  • In the first part: It seems you have to move the larger magnet in one direction to make it spinn. moving the (heavy)magnet in one direction is the an energy effort so you gain nothing. still interesting.

  • nice one

  • nice

  • Jesus I wish these people would have paid attention in school. The frikkin' ball is rolling slightly off of its axis!

  • Like to see that do the Kessel run.
