@chapitrilfo Not exactly, a flip in a real fight can be beneficial for the person when timed right. A flip or a roll can recover your standing if you are knocked back. A flip can also help to get more air than a normal jump. But Capoiera isn't only flips, they have em but dont use them often.

@TheBringerofchaos ??? I wasn't criticizing the martial art. I was jsut saying people are upset with the video and say its not capoiera because they were expecting flips.

@hazza3 Maybe... but, that "flipping around and junk" is all apart of the martial art. From what i can see in my very honest opinion every movement: flip kick punches the movement in general is what makes capoeira so effective, heheheh ... kinda hard to hit someone that is always in motion, and constantly puts you on the defensive.

Looked alright to me. The Capoiera guu kept sticking his head out to much though and he got tagged a couple of times.
