This is a video I shot on my iPhone on June 13 2011. Just wanted to show folks back home how a separated bikelane looks & feels. Separated lanes were proposed in the Toronto Bike Plan in 2001. But the plan has been mostly gathering dust for over a decade.

New York City built 200 miles of bike lanes in two years.

  • Good luck Toronto! In Montreal, and surrounds, we have over 500 km of bike routes, many dedicated like in NYC. The main bike route through the downtown is more congested than the vehicle lanes. It's an awesome way to get around the city and we easily do 80-100 km trips on the weekends.
