  • That's right. If you believe in a made up thing like God and Jesus and angels and fairies and ghosts and goblins, it's OK. If you tell someone they're made up things...they will kill you.

  • What I consider to be positive examples of religion might not be mainstream.

    But "absolute certainty"? That's just not what religion "usually" is. Maybe where Bill lives =/

  • Maher was correct. Faith is belief without evidence. Religious claims can't be proven, that's why theists rely on faith.

  • What Maher said is true. So what's the problem? Is stating the truth arrogance?

  • No, because 2+2=4 is a known fact, and can be proven with objects. But Mel Gibson's comment on belief is faith, and cannot be proven. That makes him and other religious zealots arrogant.
