US racer, Robb Holland, he of the Pirelli World Challenge, has joined the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship for 2 races in August, 2012. Holland already tested his S2000-spec BTCC Honda Civic. ShakeDown host, Leo Parente, sits with Robb to discuss the car, the experience, and his plans for the Snetterton and KnockHill rounds, 3 races at each track.

    Robb, thank you for the insight. You're really well spoken and articulate and that says a lot about you as a person. I learned a ton from both of you and it was a captivating watch.

    Robb: It sounds almost like the WC vs the S2000 cars is almost like a photog going from a point-n-shoot camera to a DSLR. Your skill can get a good picture with the PnS, but the DSLR is "OH MY GOD, THIS IS WHAT A CAMERA SHOULD BE!"

    Oh I was soooo looking forward to seeing this guy again. How he described the fundamentals of FF racing car setups a year ago made for what was one of the most enjoyable DRIVE episodes.

    Its actually just a feature of the S2000 Honda Civics built by Team Dynamics. The S2000 cars all use rear suspension arms derived from the road-going models, and the design of the Civic allowed the Dynamic Rear Toe development. NGTC cars use spec subframes across all models, which is a metal cradle that houses the dampers, arms, toe links and ARBs (sway bars), so there isn't a chance to use DRT.

    Leo, does the NGTC-spec also have "dynamic toe adjustments"? For either the front-drive or rear-drive cars? Or is this feature only on the older S2000-spec?
