In the original dub, the only times you hear the skeksis speak "English" is when they speak in Gelfling, which is why the Chamberlain wasn't trying to sound dimwitted when he first encounters Jen and Kira at the ruins, but was attempting rather brokenly to communicate in their language.

XDD SkekEkt is so cute. His reactions to things are priceless.
Only thing I wish (and expected the first time) was that skekSil would wind up being the true hero of the movie after all. No such luck. Ah, I love him anyway.

The greatest Muppet movie of ALL TIME!!! (and yes i know they are not muppets... but same idea :D.) It was the only movie i saw on the Big Screen that year - but i'm REALLY glad that was the one. It ALMOST makes up for the lack of anime-quality animated films in North America....unfortunately, its all by itself: there is nothing else in the same genre that stands out even a bit.
