Historical AND Hysterical - Dutch NF 2010 (with subtitles)

You can't make this up even if you tried: You hold a singing competition where each contestant sings the same song, written by the guy that wrote the Smurf song. Then you let a jury and an audience decide. You end up with a tie, because you failed to come up with an actual working points system, so you let the composer of the song decide. He then refuses to cast the deciding vote, and proposes instead to flip a coin. Only in the Netherlands.

The winner is a 17 years old girl... she must be so laughed at in whatever "school or whatever" she is.

And the voting system is ridiculous and sooo old school...
