Hahah, you just can't kill a Toyota back in the days. My 91 Corolla beaten to shit still runs great. Too bad Toyota's quality isn't as great as they once were anymore.
I agree but them honda's im a owner of one damn they go and go when i went to get mine they had a display 1992 civic in the show room with 420,000 miles and i asked is it for sale they said no its just to prove to people what honda can handle and it runs i asked if they can start it up they did sounds so quiet and smooth for 420,000 miles only thing that always needs replacement is the usual oil timing belt water pump etc... but honda can run thats not the first i seen with 400,000 miles +
Dude below says: "A properly designed engine with tight tolerances would have locked up immediately. That's why the best engines usually lock up the fastest without oil."
Ask some dude from the African continent, or from the American Southwest, or from the Australian bush if that's whats best, an engine that immediately stops after it blows. The heck with all that "tight clearance" jazz. I want something that won't leave me stranded out someplace where I could die!

I agree on Honda and Toyota, but I believe that Subaru would be a better candidate for 3rd place. You can't kill those boxer engines!
