Leonard Ravenhill

Leonard Ravenhill was one of Britains foremost outdoor evangelists of the 20th century. God used him to help bring thousands of people to Christ throughout Britain. Unlike the case with many of todays evangelists, the conversions that Leonard helped to bring about were generally lasting conversions. Thats because he did not water down the Gospel when he preached it. Later in life, Leonard and his family moved to the United States, where he worked with Bethany House Publishers. In the 1980s, Leonard and his family moved to a home near Lindale, Texas, a short distance from Last Days Ministries. Leonard regularly taught classes at Last Days Ministries, and he was a mentor to the late Keith Green.

@kathynsam123 - are you then saying that you are more impressed with the 100 years or less that evolution gave you, with no hope for entirety? You would think that since evolution was intelligent enough to create "life" from "nothing" or Big Bang, that it would be intelligent enough to figure out how to keep us going for eternity. that isn't all that impressive either!

@llchambers100 Paul has answered this very question in Romans 9:19-21(the context is God's having hardened Pharaoh's heart to show His power in the earth) "You will say to me then, "why does He still find fault? For who has resisted His will?" "But indeed O' man who are you to reply against God? Will the thing formed say to Him who formed it, "why have you made me like this?" Does not the potter have power over the clay from the same lump to make one vessel for honor, and another for dishonor?"

@llchambers100 This is a very good question, and I wont profess to know the answer. But from what I have gathered thus far I have come to the conclusion that He has purposed it in His heart to show those who will inherit salvation His divine characteristics by revealing Himself to man through His manifest judgments, signs, and wonders (including the creation of the known universe, His creation of the devil, and the creation of those who are destined for destruction) the divine drama played out.

@llchambers100 Hello, I'd like to explain. God creates all humans with freewill. The devil's name was Lucifer before he fell from grace in rebellion and became Satan. He doesn't force you to love Him. That's not true love. He does know who will choose Him though, because He tests us to know our hearts. A hardened heart will reject God. If you seek Him you'll find Him. The problem is that people don't want to seek Him or know Him, but they want to go to heaven and not hell.

@IIchambers100 We try to understand why God did everything he did this way and you find it unfair. But Gods plan is just and perfect. God did not created the devil, God created lucifer. Lucifer became the devil. We tend to blame God for our miserable and unfair life. But if only you knew the riches in Christ! "come and taste that the lord he is good!!"
