@luthino well, did the new rear bulkhead work? thx :D
-
got mine 3 days ago, already broke a battery tray, griding rear diff, 2 driveshafts, 2 arms, and a bumper mount >:(

when you shim your diff...where do you shim it? and what size shims...and what shims did you use? can you make a vid showing where to shim?

@luthino, it's the ring and pinion gear. It's caused because the bulkheads seperate a bit under heavy acceleration causing the mesh to become to big and lets the teeth grind. I'm waiting on the new bulkheads from Traxxas which should be released end of this month.

im not sure if you have upgraded the bulkheads or not but the new ones do not fix the problem. i just replaced my front ring and pinion and then the rear ones stripped out. the only solution i have found on the internet is to replace the front and rear bulkheads with upgraded aluminum ones.

@hpibajajumper, I had the new bulkheads when I sold the MERV. However the rear one also started stripping again. It's a tough car but the driveline/bulkheads are total crap. I'm gonna buy the Savage XS when it's widely available :)
