Tommy Lasorda, who coached the AAA Albuquerque Dukes in the early '70s before going on to coach the Dodgers (the Dukes' parent club) sang the National Anthem in Albuquerque last night before the Isotopes game. It was Tommy Lasorda bobblehead night and the Isotopes wore throwback Albuquerque Dukes uniforms.

Lasorda, who is in his early 80s, made a classically rambling speech before singing, which concluded, "When I coached here, you could've dropped an atomic bomb in downtown Albuquerque and only done about 40 bucks of damage. Today, you have a beautiful city and the best ballpark in the minors. When you go home tonight and rest your head on your pillow, if you have an ounce of compassion in your heart, say a prayer for Tommy and the Dodgers."
