20 years of NAFTA offers nothing to celebrate: the free trade model and corporate globalization did not bring prosperity and better working conditions for the peoples in Canada, Quebec, United States and Mexico but greater concentration of wealth and power in the hands of a few. Following the call to hold a Tri-national Multisector Forum in Mexico City from Jan. 28 to 31, a diversity of social groups agreed to hold a day of action in North America on Jan. 31: peoples in 50 cities mobilized to stop fastTract, claim for system change, and reject the Transpacific Patnership (TPP).
