The virulent gw hate is a little excessive but that's a phase many of us go through when we quit gw. I wont pay their prices for their models or tools, but sometimes the terrain tempts me (until I see the five thousand skulls that need filing off) and I do use their silver paints.

I suggest against buying both the two player starter and khador battlegroup, the 2 player starter is a better deal and doubling up isn't as good in wm as it is in 40k.

@DaisZX all ready way a head of you I just online ordered the 2 player starter box army ( with te mini rule book for 99.99 ) also going to my local store to pick up some other units and some paints so I can start working scale Terrain for them so I can get some Battle reports out..

The other difference is support... GW waits 10 years between updating codexes and has yet to release all the models from ANY army they have released. People are hoping for 3-4 codexes this year for 40k while PP in the same time frame released 2 expansions, 11 army books and the complete host of models for each line. In 1 year they did what GW has yet to do in 10.

The difference between PP and GW however is a huge one. The difference is PP truly cares about the hobby and it's fans... They play not only the game they make but have fun with other systems as well. Look who is running GW... You know there are issues when the top three executives don't even play the game.

Dunno... PP seems like another ridiculously priced setup... better to play systems that don't lock you in to one line of minis... so you can use whatever you have, whatever you like... iIF

Well I still go with gw and buy some pp models with a cygnar army. But what I have to say is pp is right where gw was in its early days and I will call it now that in about 20 years time people will be saying the same thing about pp. In the end these companies gotta think of their bottom line and on top of that economies everywhere suck!

Kudos for taking on Warmachine - its a awesome game. I know how you feel about GW - all take, no love back :P I have moved on to playing old school 2nd Edition 40k - that way buying the books gives zero profit to GW and you need sod all minis for a army - its a nice compromise rather than quitting the "GW hobby" all together.

You brought up a reason I went over to Privateer Press.... my wife likes the look of Legion of Everblight. I would love it if I could get her into my hobby. I also really like the rules. I have to say that I like that you started the video with wishing people who will stay with GW well.

Funny thing. I was watching your video as I was putting together epic irusk. I was just about to pause and get a picture of it to make sure I had it right, when you put the picture up in your video. I was rather surprized by that. Glad you are coming over to PP for games, great models and rules, and Ive had some models since they started, and despite a rules reright(mark 2), and newer models being released, I can still use the models that are 10 years old, its so awesome.
