In one of the following parts (Fifth Movement, Final End):

Deutsch:
Aufersteh'n, ja aufersteh'n
Wirst du, Mein Staub,
Nach kurzer Ruh'!
Unsterblich Leben! Unsterblich Leben
wird der dich rief dir geben!
Wieder aufzublüh'n wirst du gesät!
Der Herr der Ernte geht
und sammelt Garben
uns ein, die starben!
O glaube, mein Herz, o glaube:
Es geht dir nichts verloren!
Dein ist, ja dein, was du gesehnt!
Dein, was du geliebt,
Was du gestritten!
O glaube
Du wardst nicht umsonst geboren!
Hast nicht umsonst gelebt, gelitten!
Was entstanden ist
Das muß vergehen!
Was vergangen, auferstehen!
Hör' auf zu beben!
Bereite dich zu leben!
O Schmerz! Du Alldurchdringer!
Dir bin ich entrungen!
O Tod! Du Allbezwinger!
Nun bist du bezwungen!
Mit Flügeln, die ich mir errungen,
In heißem Liebesstreben,
Werd'ich entschweben
Zum Licht, zu dem kein Aug'gedrungen!
Mit Flügeln, die ich mir errungen
Werde ich entschweben.
Sterben werd'ich, um zu leben!
Aufersteh'n, ja aufersteh'n
wirst du, mein Herz, in einem Nu!
Was du geschlagen
zu Gott wird es dich tragen!

English:
Rise again, yes, rise again,
Will you My dust,
After a brief rest!
Immortal life! Immortal life
Will He who called you, give you.
To bloom again were you sown!
The Lord of the harvest goes
And gathers in, like sheaves,
Us together, who died.
O believe, my heart, O believe:
Nothing to you is lost!
Yours is, yes yours, is what you desired
Yours, what you have loved
What you have fought for!
O believe,
You were not born for nothing!
Have not for nothing, lived, suffered!
What was created
Must perish,
What perished, rise again!
Cease from trembling!
Prepare yourself to live!
O Pain, You piercer of all things,
From you, I have been wrested!
O Death, You masterer of all things,
Now, are you conquered!
With wings which I have won for myself,
In loves fierce striving,
I shall soar upwards
To the light which no eye has penetrated!
Its wing that I won is expanded,
and I fly up.
Die shall I in order to live.
Rise again, yes, rise again,
Will you, my heart, in an instant!
That for which you suffered,
To God will it lead you!

  • Could you let me know where I can purchase this DVD? I was unable to find it from anywhere, Amazon, CD Universe, etc. Please let me know I can get this one. Thanks!

  • @401forester Maybe you could send an email to EMI, the record label for the concerts with Sir Simon Rattle.....

  • Where is part 2, the real end of this...?

  • @nickie2011 A time ago I had all four parts in my channel, from another channel, and copied this one for the video which has been attached here. I copied also the other parts, but, eilas, not as a video, but as an mp3, by mistake. I am working at the final end, part 4, with photos and sceneries which will fit excellent with the lyrics....

  • @EttasFavourites PLEEEEAASE put the last part of the Finale back up on YouTube. I had it bookmarked before you removed. What an amazing performance. I love to watch Sir Rattle conduct this. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE!!!

  • @MastersClayPot Oh yes, I would have done it already if ..... I had copied the serial completely as an MP4 when it was still on YouTube. I copied this part 1/4 as an MP4, and the other parts as an MP3, by mistake, so I do NOT have the sceneries from the concert and yes, that hurted and hurts, when finding out that I made a mistake. I could and can cry. So I have part 4, and yes, I am still working with ideas to make a video with it, with the MP3 of part 4. It is not the same though. Sorry!

  • Ayer el Orquesta Filarmónica del estado de Querétaro tocó esta maravillosa obra y no me van a creer pero la tocaron mejor que estos musicos, Felicidades José Guadalupe Flores y su Orquesta !!! Wonderful job !!!

  • The first time I heard Mahler's shattering 2nd symphony was a live broadcast of the inaugural concert by Sir Simon with the CBSO in June 1991.

I still have a recording, it's still the best I've heard.

  • I want the 2nd part so badly! I want a video!

  • Solo Directores como el me inspiran a continuar.....Sir Simon es un Dios en direccion Orquestal y Gustavo es su hijo.....Escucho este interpretacion y se me salen las lagrimas...
