How to Install CyanogenMod 7 on the Nook Color (PC Version)

Stuck on the CM7 boot animation? For some reason, it likes to stay on it the very first time you boot on the device after installing or updating. If you reboot, it should go away. If not, keep rebooting until it does. The max amount of times I've heard this takes is 6 reboots, but that's really rare.

Getting an "Error: can't format /data" error? It seems like the newer Nook Colors have a different partitioning scheme vs the older ones. Please follow the instructions on this page to resolve the issue: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1094371

***Also, I'm not responsible if you screw anything up and damage anything. Now, it's almost impossible to brick your Nook Color, so as long as you follow the instructions, you should be all set.

@novicetech1 try deleting everything off the sd card with sdformatter. use the overwrite format to ensure all the stuff is deleted.

What if I have absolutely no idea what anything on that website means? Is there any way I can just get the correct win32 download and go through the process again without trying to decipher all the techno savvy language?
