My Classic Car looks at a Bricklin at the Atlantic Nationals in the town where it was originally built. Video indicates 351 Cleveland, but a 351 Windsor was used. Nice example of a Bricklin.

  • cool cars hey do you know if there is a button somewhere that dis enables the doors.were working before it left LA now in new zealand and not working-i think maybe the shipping company did something to them for safety while on the water.any help would be great!!!

  • @SuperCougar71 There is a button on the console and the lock near the button on the outside. Either being enabled will disable the doors. You can lift up the console and check for power at the back of the buttons.

  • there is one in a junkyard out here in TN, its white.

And runs....kinda, i cannot get the yard owner to sell it to me, which i totally understand.

  • I believe I heard about that one, has a not for sale sign on it. Someone sent me a photo.

  • So sad, since sitting in the elements is the worst thing you can do to the Bricklin body panels and the door and hatch seal will start to leak ruining the interior and starting to rust from the inside.

  • my neighbors let one of them fall apart in his yard! bummer eh

  • Yes so sad.

  • @Bricklin1975 I think that about the style is simply an opinion. A lot of people will think that de Delorean is a far better looking car and its appereance is less kit car. But of course the Bricklin is very rare and an automotive historic piece too.

  • I like the DeLorean more, but this is still a great car!

  • @brick0036 hi again do these need to be run for a bit for the pressure to build up as it has been sitting a while?it makes a whirring noise in the back.these are meant to be dicey i hear.cheers

  • thanks for that.much appreciated.

  • This is a beautiful example of a Safety orange 1975, but probably painted. The acrylic was not that slick when they were new! I am currently restoring a Safety Orange 1975, it was painted a reddish color in the 1980s. I am stripping the paint to expose the original acrylic. These cars have many design and engineering flaws, but they are much more stylish and rare than the DeLorean.

  • When I lived in Upstate NY I was driving to work one day and saw one of these sitting on someones lawn with a for sale sign. It looked nice and it was white. I'm personally a DeLorean fan over a Bricklin but not by much. The only reason a Bricklin isn't as well known is because it didn't have a movie to make it an icon. They look like a DeLorean and a 70's Corvette had a baby, which is cool. Even though Bricklins came before DeLoreans.

  • Waaaay better than the Delorean!

  • cant be too many of those still existing in safety orange. i see one here all the time.
