Huh...so THAT'S the secret of superman! Kryptonite is his weakness and red underpants gives him his super powers! That's why whenever he takes them off as Clark Kent, he's stumbling around and crap! GENIUS!!!

@Chibiwaza Hahahaaha! It's just that his outfit seems incomplete without it, and something tells me that if Superman thought of it, the red underpants would actually be covering a lead hard jock.

It's like a mask for the crotch and yet the opposite. The red underpants are the underpants of paradoxical wonder!
Though the new suit does look good even if it looks more like armor, but guess they are just trying to keep up with the times or fans or something.

I've always loved the red undies. I mean, what would aliens from another planet wear ? Jeans and a black t-shirt ? ... Oh wait, ... that's what Superboy wears. ... Oh wait again, ... that's what he used to wear.

@SerjOctopus Well I wouldn't call it a free pass, rather than an INEVITABILITY. Everything that has "CHANGED COMICS FOREVER" has been undone in one way or another. Jason Todd came back to life and Barbara Gordon can walk again. Steve Rogers is Captain America again and Spiderman's alter ego is a secret again.
I'd LIKE comics to evolve and change over time but sadly they don't. or DO they?

@TheRazmereShow very true, honestly the best thing that could happen to these characters is they go into the public domain where they can become icons like Frankenstein and Robin Hood instead of tired company mascots like Mickey Mouse

@SerjOctopus My dream idea is along the lines of NO MORE CONTINUITY! Just let everything be a stand alone. Might as WELL since it beats trying to bend over backwards and fall face first in the mud trying to cram and weave EVERYTHING into one continuity.
