  • How interesting - and lovely. My first exposure to erhu. All that on two strings? Incredible... 5 stars.

  • The erhu has qualities that are special in itself as with the violin, her point is not to make the erhu sound like the violin but to make an artistic statement. The erhu is not as limited as you think, try having the violin imitate "jiang he Shui" it would be close to impossible.

  • Just amazing.

  • Woonderfuuullll......!!!!!!

  • @industrialistpig she played an excerpt of the whole song for this concert, there is another version where she plays the full piece.

  • Really nice and undeterred by working with a pianist in a separate time zone!

  • She plays the Er-Hu very well, and she does not need showing up that funny behaviour. Have a look at so many other fantastic Er-Hu-players here on YouTube, e. g. the 8-year-old-girl!!! She is really an honest player. The work by Saint-Saens is called "...capriccioso" and nothing else.

  • @ilyabialo You are absolutely right !!

  • congrats!!!!!!!!!!!

  • congrats!!!!!!!!!!!

  • She's improved so much. Watched her live just 3 days ago.

  • My heart aches: when it comes to command of Western thought and programming, why do you still kiss Europe's finests' ass? Has everybody forgotten how Asians excel at crosscultural communication? Or how to express beauty in sublte Asian terms? Is there so little knowledge and will to explore the European and modern Chinese oevre? Hail to the equal temperament, hail to the big concert halls and hail to the microphones and digital delay!

    Pure sadness and lost hope.
