Luna performs to Personal Jesus - Bellydance Fusion

Luna performing to Personal Jesus by Marilyn Manson (originally by Depeche Mode) at Arabian Lights Dance Company's "Haflaween 2008" in Cape Henlopen, Delaware. The opening music is a gregorian chant called "Ave Maria".

I was still a baby dancer and this was my first self-created solo performance. My teacher had been after me to create my own solo to traditional Egyptian music, but I'm a rocker/goth girl and this is what came out of me. It was a LOT of fun.

I apologize that the intro is nearly invisible due to the poor lighting on stage. You can't really tell, but I'm covered in a black cloak from head to toe and circle the stage once before kicking it into dance gear.

Special thanks to Tempest (darklydramatic.com). Her workshops were a huge source of creative inspiration and I used a few of her moves in this choreo.
