Rory Gallagher- "Wanted Blues"

Rory's version of John Lee Hooker's "Wanted Blues"... Rory Gallagher, sadly missed and winging his way through some amazing slide guitar.

He's tuned DGDGBD ... in other words ( starting from conventional EADGBE tuning) the two outside E strings go down two frets to D . And the A string goes down two frets to become a G.
Incidentally this is also the tuning used extensively by Keef so now you can play "Brown Sugar" too!

@rastablues1 Well there is a story about that. I originally called the clip "Want ad blues" and I got a few PM's saying the real name was wanted blues. So I changed it to wanted blues. Personally I don't give a feck, to be perfectly honest.

@pyramidenJoe [ sigh ] Rory wasn't trying to imitate anyone. He didn't need to because he KNEW his roots and he KNEW that his connection to the Blues didn't need the I'm-a-Black-man-on-stage treatment. He felt the Blues in his soul, he was a genius guitar player and that's all he needed. Black & white are irrelevant at that level.
